What a nice way to start December: 3 premier tournaments starting, with a bunch of high quality matches to stay entertained. Here are the highlights of last week's Starcraft II scene!
MEME OF THE WEEK

RAGE RANT OF THE WEEK
Vipers are disgusting. They have an answer to absolutely everything. Oh, my tanks are a tiny bit bunched up? Lol here's a blinding cloud cast from 11 range, tanks are now useless. Unstoppable. Oh I actually manage to pre-split my tanks? Lol here's a few abducts from range 9, also impossible to stop, tanks are now dead. Oh I have vikings to counter the vipers? Lol here are a few parasitic bombs, good luck splitting the vikings while also splitting bio against 50 A-moved banelings. Oh and if I somehow manage to survive and push again after 30 seconds? Lol vipers are all recharged with energy after consuming some shitty evolution chambers, let's dance again.
Ok. First off, take a deep breath. Feels like you've been waiting to unload this rage for a while. We'll also take a breath with you, because we've lost a fair share of games because of vipers.
Second, don't feel too bad, even pros have trouble against vipers sometimes. But then they build ghosts, and even though the problem doesn't quite disappear, they at least have an answer. Of sorts. Ghosts are notoriously hard to manage, because they're hard to use with F2 (and we know how much our Terran friends love the F2 button).
Now's the time to take another deep breath, because what I am going to propose may be too difficult for some Terrans to accept: you need to split your army into multiple control groups. To start with, try 2 control groups: 1 for ghosts, and 1 for your main army. Get the 2 ghost upgrades as well (cloak and enhanced shockwaves), and pray to god that you land some amazing EMP's or snipes. Because if you don't, might as well send us another rage rant next week.
As a reminder to our readers: you can send us your rage rants at thedanktemplars@gmail.com!
THE DANK TEMPLARS UNIVERSITY
You would be amazed at the number of Diamond players (and below) that don't use control groups / camera hotkeys. Weak game mechanics can only take you so far, and frustration will start building up! And although that means we'll get more Rage Rant of the Week submissions, it won't be so fun for you. So check out the video below for some tips on game mechanics!
